Case study!

Found a possible patient for my case study this week.... guy with pancreatitis that was caused by severe hypertriglyceridemia. Severe as in 2500 mg/dL on admit. He's still being figured out, been NPO for a while receiving TPN without any lipids... and now he has an ileus and no bowel sounds so he won't be eating anytime soon. I'm really interested to see how this is going to play out while in the meantime researching his disease.

Oh I also was forced to participate in a taste test for a new baked goods vendor for the cafeteria yesterday. They made me eat a lot of pastries and give my opinion on each. Life is hard...
