Gaston Memorial Hospital

I don't have anything exciting to say, but I thought I would post on here while my internet was working... The last two days have been mostly orientation days, a lot of food service observation and watching. This afternoon I felt like I was back in school because we went to a speaker (about the Mediterranean Diet & CHD, which included a buffet of foods that would be part of the diet-the highlight of my day) followed by a teleconference (about Food Allergies) followed by a webinar (about the hospital's upcoming change to electronic diet orders/ticketing/etc). Kind of neat, but pretty tiring after 3 hours in a row...
Oh! and I actually saw livermush today - I'm not sure if that should be served in hospitals...
