First Day

So my RD wasted no time jumping in this morning. After about an hour or so of "orientation" we headed up to the floor and saw patients all day. I think this was a great way to get started, because it really showed me what they RDs do on a day to day basis. I was surprised by how much she had to be on her toes with every single patient. She went in to each room with a general plan on what to talk about, and most of the time it didn't worked out as planned. Each patient had their own idea of what they wanted to talk about, and it was hard to direct them back. I have the hospital orientation tomorrow, so it should be a slower day, with less of an information overload.
